New web page: Threatened Wader/Shorebird Species

posted in: Our Blogs | 0

We have added a new page to the website under the conservation banner entitled Threatened Wader Species.

It is a comprehensive list of the species in the IUCN categories; Extinct; Critically Endangered; Endangered; Vulnerable; and Near Threatened.

Each name has a link to the fact file page, most of which are awaiting updating with more information, a work in progress.

In some cases we are in need of photographs for the species, so, if you happen to have one or know someone who does, then please contact us and so we can add the photo to the gallery.

The world’s rarest wader? The Critically Endangered Black Stilt of New Zealand. Also widely known as Kakī.
