We have a new section on the website for reporting monitoring projects.
These can be found under Monitoring in the Conservation drop down menu.
The first such project we are presenting is the Bohai Bay Global Flyway Network Update #1 & Update #2 which is monitoring waders (and other interesting species) in Bohai Bay in the Yellow Sea region in China. The team is made up of Adrian Boyle, Matt Slaymaker, Chris Hassell, Theunis Piersma and Nigel Jackett. They report on numbers of birds seen, influxes and exoduses and also any interesting colour-ringed birds that they see and get details about.
We have also hade recent updates from the tracking projects based in Australia with the pratincoles, Little Curlews, and Far eastern Curlews showing some interesting results, while the Eurasian Whimbrels are finally underway in Update #9
