After a great deal of hard graft, late nights and head scratching (mostly on the part of Trustee Andrew Whitelee), we have satisfied the Charities Commission (England and Wales) that Wader Quest is indeed a charity and they have bestowed upon us the registration number 1183748.
It is a fantastic boost to have this recognition, which was hard won, and we hope that this will enable us to go from strength to strength and grow to become a significant force for wader conservation.
If you have not previously joined us, please do so now. Our annual subscription rates are low (see right hand margin) and the cause that we are fighting for is in urgent need of both recognition and practical help.
If we do not act now the world will lose a large number of wader/shorebird species in years to come.
This has been dubbed the silent shorebird crisis by Birdlife Australia.
Let us not allow it to remain silent any more.
