For many years now there has been talk of an interpretative centre at the marvellous Broome Bird Observatory. This has finally come to fruition in the form of the Clive Minton Discovery Centre, named and dedicated to the late Clive Minton, the person who brought wader study to Australia in a big way.
Should you find yourself nearby it is well worth a visit, and if you are not close by, are a wader lover, and have never been to Broome, then this is yet another reason to make the trip of a lifetime to one of the most fantastic spots on earth for looking at waders. If you have already been, as we have, then here surely is as good a reason as any to return.
Well done to all concerned, another marvellous step along the road of encouraging the world to view their waders as a treasure, to be cherished.
